Purposes of the processing

Users’ personal data are gathered and processed by the Data Controller in order to handle their requests and to continuously improve and personalise their site usage experience.

Types of data processed

Navigation Data

The IT systems and software processes responsible for the operation of this website acquire certain personal data during the course of their normal operations, the transmission of which is an integral and essential part of the Internet communication protocols.

This category of data includes the IP addresses or domain names of the computers and terminals used by visitors to the site, addresses in URI/URL (Uniform Resource Identifier/Locator) notation of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to issue the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (success, failure etc.) and other parameters concerning the user's operating system and IT environment.

These data, necessary for the supply of the web services, are also processed in order to obtain statistical information on the use of the services (most page visits, number of users per day or at certain times of day, geographical origin etc.), and to check that the services offered are functioning correctly.

The navigation data persists no longer than ---- days and is deleted immediately following its processing (with the exception of the need by judicial authorities to determine responsibility for computer crimes).

Data Supplied by the User

The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of messages to the contact address provided by the Data Controller will lead to the acquisition of the sender’s contact details, which are required to respond to the request, as well as any and all personal data included in such communications.

The personal data collected are processed by employees of the Data Controller, who act on the basis of specific instructions provided on the purposes and methods of the processing. Third parties, in their role as “External Data Processors”, may also gain knowledge of the Users’ personal data; these include, for instance, the suppliers of IT and logistical services required for the site's operation, suppliers of outsourced or cloud computing services, professionals and consultants. The user has the right to obtain a list of any Data Processors nominated by the Data Controller.

The user has the right to obtain confirmation from the Data Controller as to whether or not their personal data is being processed, and if it is:

- To receive a copy of personal data relating to them in a structured and commonly used electronic format which can be read by an automatic device, which they may then transmit to another Data Controller (data portability)

- To request information on the existence of any automated decision-making processes, including profiling

- Where expressed, withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing based on consent before the withdrawal

- Lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority.
